Still Lifes |
Although the computer age has spawned an array of
possibilities for manipulating images through the click
of a mouse, artist Sara Sill creates collages the “old
fashioned way,” with scissors, glue and paint. Using
these “low-tech” methods, she transforms images from her
photographs into evocative, mood-filled paintings.
Ever an intrepid explorer in the form and content of her
works however, her ideas of collage extend beyond the
traditional boundaries of this art form.
Her later
works include installations, screens and photo prints
which take advantage of new technology.
